Every field is translated, including notes recorded on the statement and any apostille.
Typically within 24–48 hours, ready to upload with your application. Add a printed copy by post if you need one.
Your translation is compared line by line with your passport and other documents, so it has to be complete and exact.
Financial evidence depends on the visa. Here is what Home Affairs says on each visa's own page.
On its visitor and partner visa pages, Home Affairs asks you to provide the original documents and the English translations in your application. Translators in Australia must be accredited by NAATI.
For a visitor visa (subclass 600), Home Affairs lists itemised personal bank statements for a 3-month period among the proof that you have enough money for your stay.
Money held in a financial institution can be evidence of financial capacity. But if you rely on your parents' or partner's income, Home Affairs says it will not accept bank statements or direct evidence from an employer: it asks for official government documents such as tax assessments.
For a partner visa, Home Affairs lists joint bank account statements among the evidence that you share financial matters.
| Visa | Examples Home Affairs gives | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor (600) | Itemised personal bank statements for 3 months; payslips; tax records; term deposits; credit card statements | Proof you can fund your stay |
| Student (500) | Deposits with a financial institution; government or bank loans; scholarships | Income route: tax assessments, not bank statements |
| Partner (820/801) | Joint bank account statements; joint loans; household bills in both names | Evidence of shared finances |
From the Department of Home Affairs' guidance on documents in languages other than English:
Our certified translations carry the translator's NAATI stamp and certification statement, on our letterhead with our address and telephone number.
A full translation is $100 per page. If a summary of the monthly totals is enough for your purpose, it is $80 per month. Choose at checkout; a bank loan application usually needs the full translation.
We translate every page you send. Home Affairs does not publish a rule on translating only part of a document, so send the statements you intend to submit.
Yes. We follow the layout of the original so each figure can be checked against it, line by line.
Usually 24 to 48 hours for a few pages; larger sets take longer and the timing is given with your quote.
